Shaped by Wind and Water
Highlands of Iceland

Shaped by Wind and Water
Photographed in the Icelandic highlands and along the remote coastline of the Westfjords, this series captures subtle surface patterns shaped by natural forces such as wind, meltwater, glacial rivers, and receding tides. From vast sand plains to the wide beach of Rauðisandur, shifting layers of sediment and fine textures emerge and disappear with each change in weather and water level.
Despite the expansive scale of these landscapes, each image isolates a small, carefully selected detail—often the result of a long and deliberate search. The photographs reflect a quiet interplay of movement and stillness, revealing the transient beauty of formations shaped by rhythm, erosion, and time.
