Where Rivers End
Photographed in the Icelandic highlands, this series shows the dry remains of braided river systems—shaped by erosion, sediment, and seasonal meltwater. As the flow recedes, complex networks of channels and textures emerge, forming abstract patterns across the landscape.
Without a clear sense of scale, the images appear detached from location or orientation. They reduce the terrain to form and direction, where natural processes leave behind structures that resemble maps or organic drawings. A quiet record of impermanence—where water has moved on, but its traces remain.
