Abstract Remnants of Winter

This series of aerial photographs showcases Ståvatn, a mountain lake situated at an elevation of 979 meters (3,212 feet) in the scenic Haukelifjell mountain region, located south of Hardangervidda National Park. Taken in early June, the images capture the remnants of winter's ice and snow, while vibrant rust-red accumulations of pollen create striking abstract formations on the water's surface.
