Transitions
In the Icelandic highlands, seasonal change reveals the fine structures of a wide sand plain shaped by glacial rivers. As the water recedes, shallow channels remain—partly filled with snow, partly exposed—creating a surface that feels more drawn than formed.
The resulting images resemble graphic sketches: reduced, directional, and defined by contrast. Despite their abstract appearance, they are shaped entirely by natural processes—snow, sediment, wind, and light. These formations exist only briefly, before melting, erosion, or new water flow alters them again.
