Obsidian Frost
Lake Kleifarvatn, Iceland

Obsidian Frost
While exploring a half-frozen lake in Iceland, I was drawn to the striking contrast between the ice and the dark volcanic sand beneath the surface. The deep, almost black tones gave the ice an unusual appearance, enhancing the intricate patterns of cracks and channels that formed along the floating ice floes. This series focuses on the abstract qualities of the frozen landscape, highlighting the subtle interactions between ice, water, and sediment.
