The farther you travel inland, the more abstract Iceland’s landscapes become, and the weather appears to change by the minute. The fascinating cloud formations above the mountains let me only briefly catch a glimpse of the summits. In contrast to the more popular coastal region of Iceland, I encounter few people here, yet the colors are all the more diverse, going beyond the everyday spectrum.
