“Lost in the tangled basin, we’ve left the decaying path absently and become buried in the dream without end, where Onyx Peaks mark the scooped terrain not unlike a valley of dead coral, and all around the cutting wind settles over the damp rubble like netting, teasing at the loose strands of our hair as we drift alongside shadows of volcanic rock and follow these crooked figures, robed monks, creeping toward their veiled and haze-smudged abyss.”
