Frozen Memories of a Vanishing World
Ilulissat Icefjord, Greenland

Frozen Memories of a Vanishing World
Photographed in the Disko Bay near Ilulissat from a small fishing boat, this series focuses on isolated details of drifting icebergs—captured under an overcast sky in subdued winter light. Some formations appeared jagged and angular, almost architectural in shape, with traces of snow still clinging to their surfaces. Seen up close, the scale and presence of the ice felt both fascinating and slightly threatening.
Subtle shifts in color and texture reveal the complexity of glacial ice: from deep blues to pale whites, occasionally tinted with earthy tones. The images reflect a fleeting moment within a disappearing landscape—where scale, form, and atmosphere come together in quiet tension.
