Ocean Blues
Drake Passage

Ocean Blues
Photographed during the crossing of the Drake Passage aboard the sailing ship Bark Europa, this series captures brief moments of ocean movement on a day that was unusually calm for these waters. The wave formations, shaped by wind and current, appear more sculptural than chaotic.
Fast shutter speeds isolate the structure and energy of the sea, revealing forms full of tension just before or during the moment of breaking. These images focus less on scale and more on the ocean as a temporary structure—defined by motion, rhythm, and light.
