Ebb and Flow: Tidal Landscapes
This aerial photography series captures the dynamic tidal landscapes of Alaska, focusing on the intricate interplay of water and sediment during low tide and as the tide comes in. Meandering channels carve through the exposed terrain, creating striking patterns that shift with each tidal cycle.
The images challenge perception, often making it hard to tell if the details are from a close-up view or a distant perspective. Repeated structures, visible on both small and large scales, reveal the natural rhythms of these ever-changing environments. The series highlights the transient beauty of these landscapes, shaped and reshaped by the ebb and flow of the tides.
