Aerial view of a beach near the town Bíldudalur in the Westfjords of Iceland with a small stream flowing over the sand into the sea, revealing different colored layers of sand on the beach. The color tones of the sand also vary depending on the daylight and weather conditions. The light-colored beaches of the Westfjords are generally very different from the other beaches in the country, which are usually characterized by very dark volcanic sand.
